Top Summer Destinations

Its summer, which means travel, sun and fun all around. There are a ton of travel places on my bucket list, however there are a few that are perfect to visit in the summer.

Bora Bora

This island is a perfect getaway for a paradise vacation. Completed with crystal blue water and a lively coral reef, this is the perfect summer destination for fun in the sun. Sit back and relax in the sun or snorkel and scuba dive by the reef, you won’t regret this beautiful destination. The flight might be long but looking at these photos, it’s definitely worth it.

Rome

This might sound cliché, however Europe is a popular destination for summer break and Rome, Italy is admittedly a great cosmopolitan city to visit. Bustling with people and ancient ruins, you won’t run out of things to see or do in this great city. Did I mention the food? Definitely a dream come true.

New York City

Last but not least, NYC. This might not seem like your first choice of destination, as most people flee to LA for beaches and good weather, however summer is a great chance to explore Manhattan. Yes, it is humid and hot, however, roads are open, its not raining or snowing, and you have the ability to explore the entire city. Night time is warm and inviting, and sunshine fills the bustling boroughs. Take a stroll through Central Park, or even make an east coast trip as a train ride to New Jersey and Pennsylvania is short of an hour away!

The Staple Piece

I don’t know about you, but for many years of my life, my staple piece has been a moto jacket. Aside from a little black dress, of course. A moto jacket always puts any outfit together. A leather one is definitely more for a class, edgy look, or for a night out. However, the one I mostly wear is a black denim moto jacket. This gives an outfit a trendy look, puts everything together and its extremely versatile as it is perfect for the day and perfect for a night out. Along those lines, I also own a corduroy red one, that when I wear all black, it gives my outfit a pop of color. I think that it is definitely a necessity to own at least one black moto jacket as it will make an outfit so much more.

The first, most desired motorcycle jacket is the Acne Studios Lambskin Moto Jacket. This retails for close to $2000 US and is a beautiful and flattering piece. However, most of us aren’t able to afford such a high priced jacket, therefore the second one by Blank NYC is a more affordable choice at around $100 US. I love the belted accent at the bottom, as it gives the jacket a more fun and edgy look, whereas without the belt, it looks very simple and plain.

Summer Trends

Its nearing that time of year when temperature gets hotter, people start to travel and clothing trends begin to change for the new season. I’m going to show you a few fashion trends for the upcoming season.

Pastels

Pastels are a nice introduction to the spring summer season. They can be seen in many dresses, tops and even pants. Lighter colors are perfect for the summer season, and you can pair a pastel top with light toned denim, shorts or jeans. Seen in Chanel’s SS19 Collection, pastels were at a high. Layered with jewelry and/or straw accessories, created a perfect summer look.

Shell Jewelry

Shell jewelry is becoming quite popular now as an accent to an outfit for the summer. Mostly gold with white pearls and shells, makes a nice jewelry option to add to an outfit. These are some perfect dainty pieces that are fairly inexpensive.

Square Toe Sandals

You can find square toe sandals at many thrift stores as they definitely provide a vintage feel to an outfit. Most summer colors include pastel shoes or white colored sandals. These sandals usually look best if they include a small heel and can make an outfit look more put together. Most include a kitten heel, but here are some different varieties of square toed sandals.
